DOLPHINS

Khasab (Musandam) or Muscat are particularly suitable for a dhow / boat trip to observe dolphins off the coast of Oman. Depending on the mood, they swim quite close to the boat, or jump meters high out of the water meters high. Simply beautiful!

TURTLES

The Turtle Reserve Center in Ras al Jinz offers guests the opportunity to visit the turtle shelters in guided tours. The tours usually take place late in the evening or (very) early morning and can be booked through the website of the center: http://www.rasaljinz-turtlereserve.com

ORYX ANTELOPES

Thanks to a global conservation breeding program, the Oryx antelope, which has been exterminated, has been successfully resettled in Oman. Today, Oryx antelopes can be spotted in the Wusta region. The protection and release of the animals is the responsibility of the Arabian Oryx Sanctuary. Here visitors can get close to the animals and observe the work of the rangers.
